Motorcycle Battery Use The Time To Pay More Attention To Safety

Gold Light Power Manufacture Company | Updated: Aug 18, 2017

Your Motorcycle Battery uses an adsorbed fiber cotton (AGM) battery. AGM batteries are permanently sealed, valve-regulated, maintenance-free lead / calcium and sulfuric acid batteries. All batteries are pre-charged before they are delivered and ready for use. For whatever reason, do not try to open the battery;

Batteries contain sulfuric acid that can cause severe burns to the eyes and skin. Wear protective masks, rubber gloves and protective clothing when handling batteries. The battery should be placed in places where children are not accessible;

Explosive hydrogen, in the charging process will leak, should be in a well ventilated place to the battery charge, the battery away from the fire, spark and smoke material;

Do not remove the warning signs at the top of the battery!

If the Motorcycle Battery is not used for a few weeks, such as in the winter, please remove the battery from the Motorcycle Battery and fully charged;

If you want to store a battery equipped with a battery, use the automatic continuous monitoring of the charger / power supply device for charging;

The battery removed from the vehicle will be affected by self-discharge. The battery placed on the vehicle will be affected by self-discharge and additional load, the latter's impact is more significant. Additional loads include diode leaks and computer memory in case of vehicle deactivation.

The higher the ambient temperature, the faster the self - discharge of the battery;

To reduce the speed of self-discharge, please store the battery in low temperature dry place;

If stored on the vehicle, the battery should be charged once every two weeks;

If stored outside the vehicle, charge the battery once a month.

The top of the battery must be kept clean and dry. Batteries at the top of the dirt and electrolytes cause the battery to self-discharge.

1, clean the top of the battery;

2, with a wire brush or fine sandpaper clean wire connector and battery terminals to remove any oxide;

3, check and clean the battery screws, fixtures and wires. Check for leaks, loose joints, and corrosion;

4, check the battery terminal is melted or due to screw too tight and damaged;

5, check the battery is decolorized, the top is raised or the shell is deformed. These conditions may indicate that the battery has been frozen, overheated or overcharged;

6, check the battery shell is broken or leaked.
