Yihan Diving Discovered The Ancient Sword 900 Years Old

An Israeli citizen accidentally found an ancient sword on the bottom of the sea while diving in a port city. He later handed the sword to the Cultural Heritage Bureau for identification. The Bureau of Cultural Heritage confirmed on Monday that the ancient sword is about 900 years old. It is speculated that it was a knight's sword during the Crusades. The sword is expected to be cleaned and restored on display.

Shlomi Katzin found an iron sword about 1.3 meters long on the seabed last Saturday. The sword is covered with marine life, but it is well preserved. He later handed the ancient sword to the Cultural Relics Bureau and obtained a certificate of good citizenship.

Kobi Sharvit, director of the Marine Archaeology Department of the Israel Antiquities Bureau, revealed that the place where Kazin found the ancient sword is in a natural bay. It is estimated that the place was used as a safe haven. Therefore, it has attracted many merchant ships to stay for a long time, and it is also a large number of archaeological artifacts. Out of the land, it is believed that the undercurrent swept away the sand covering it, making it possible to see the sky again.
